Common Charging Port Problems We Fix
- Phone not charging or charging intermittently
- Loose cable connection — cable falls out or needs to be held at an angle
- Lint and debris buildup blocking the port
- Damaged or bent pins inside the port
- USB-C, Lightning, or Micro-USB port replacement
Is It the Port, the Cable or the Battery?
- Try another cable and charger that you know work. Cables fail far more often than ports
- Look into the port with a torch. Pocket lint packs into the bottom and stops the plug going all the way in
- Try wireless charging if your phone has it. Charges wirelessly but not with a cable? It's the port
- Don't dig with a pin or a paperclip. Metal can short or bend the pins. We can clean a port safely
Liquid Detected?
iPhones and Galaxy phones stop charging when they sense moisture in the port. Let it dry with the port facing down, and don't override the warning: charging a wet port is how it corrodes. If the warning keeps coming back on a dry phone, the port may be damaged.
180-Day Warranty, Same-Day Service
A replaced port carries our 180-day warranty on parts and labour; new liquid or impact damage isn't covered. Bring the cable and charger you use every day. If they turn out to be the problem, you'll know before any work, and you won't need a repair.
