We check the battery's health before we start and again once the new one is in. The new battery has a 90-day warranty.
Signs Your Phone Battery Needs Replacing
- Battery drains to 0% within a few hours of normal use
- Phone shuts down unexpectedly, even with charge remaining
- Battery health below 80% (see below)
- Phone feels hot during normal use or charging
- Battery is swollen or the screen is lifting from the frame
How to Check Battery Health
- iPhone: Settings → Battery → Battery Health (Battery Health & Charging on iPhone 14 and earlier). Below 80% Maximum Capacity is the usual time to replace it
- Samsung Galaxy: the Samsung Members app → Support → Phone diagnostics → Battery status
- Oppo: Settings → Battery, under Battery health on many recent models

What to Expect
- The battery test is free, and you'll hear the price before any work
- Most battery replacements take 20 to 40 minutes while you wait
- Swapping a battery doesn't touch your photos or apps, though a backup beforehand is still sensible
- A 90-day warranty on the new battery, for a fault in the battery or our fitting (not drops or liquid)
- We fit quality aftermarket batteries. On iPhone XR, XS and later, one that isn't genuine Apple shows an "Unknown Part" notice in Settings. It doesn't change how the battery works
Swollen Battery? Stop Charging It
If the screen is lifting or the back is bulging, the battery has swollen. Unplug it, don't press on it, keep it away from anything that can burn, and bring it in as soon as you can. Tell us it's swollen when you arrive.
A Battery While You Shop
Most batteries take 20 to 40 minutes, long enough for a coffee at the food court next door. Parking at Taigum Square is free. Tell us how long a charge lasts and when the phone switches off: those details help as much as the health reading.
